PERSONAL STORY: JENNIFER SHADDOCK

Since I first started my period at the age of 14, I have had several menstrual pains. At the age of 18 I began having chronic pelvic pain, bouts of diarrhea, fatigue and at times, a low fever. I saw many doctors over the year who all gave bad advice. I was told I had Crohn's disease, pelvic inflammatory disease, IBS and even carcinoid cancer! Finally at the age of 26, a new GYN did a laproscopy and found a small patch of endo in the cul-de-sac area. I am amazed that the one small patch could cause so much pain!!! I was symptom free for about two years. Now the pain is back and I have to choose between Lupron or a second surgery. I just don't know what to do as I don't like either option!
