PERSONAL STORY: CHERYL TOPLISS

I`m suffering from Endometriosis, I`m 27 and I was on HRT until two weeks ago.

The first doctor I saw at the age of thirteen told me to take pain killer and sent me away. I put up with the pain until two years ago when I moved down to Somerset because I felt the doctors were not taking me seriously.

I was diagnosed last year when I had a laparoscopy and told it was mild but it doesn`t feel mild I take four different pain killers practically every day. I have stomach pain and back pain practically every day.

Now I`m having to go in to hospital this July for an endoscopy to see if the endo is affecting my bowels. Are there any support groups in the United Kingdom ? (Actually the only support I`ve found so far is in the States or the SHE Trust based in Lincolnshire). It would be nice to talk to others in my situation wherever they are.
