PERSONAL STORY: BRITTNEY DURAN

Just last month, I was diagnosed with endo at the age of 19. I never really had a lot of pain or problems except the fact that I couldn't get pregnant. My doctors all thought that I was pregnant because my uterus was enlarged but all the pregnancy tests were negative. So my doctor finally sent me for an ultrasound and they found a lesion on my right ovary. I was immediately sent to an ob/gyn to get it checked out. He told me that he thought that it was endo and the only way to diagnose was to do a laparscopy so I agreed. That was when he found a cyst filled with endo tissue on my ovary and found endo tissue attached to my pancreas. He lasered the endo and got rid of the cyst and I have felt better. Now I am expecting my period tomorrow for the first time after surgery and I haven't felt any PMS symptoms like I did before. So either my PMS symptoms were due to endo or I am pregnant. I would be so happy if I actually conceived. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
